Nobody warned me the take-home project would take longer to review than to write

Spent a focused six hours on a take-home over a weekend, submitted Sunday night feeling good about it. That was three weeks ago. Sent one check-in email, got a generic "still reviewing, thanks for your patience" back. Not upset exactly, just wasn't expecting the silence to outlast the actual work by this much. Anyone have a sense of what's normal here before it's fair to assume it's a pass?
