Switched from marketing to product management and my first PRD got torn apart in review, in a good way

Made the jump after four years running campaigns, figured writing requirements couldn't be that different from writing briefs. Wrote what I thought was a solid PRD, brought it to my first review, and the eng lead asked eleven questions I hadn't considered, mostly around edge cases and who owns what when something breaks. Rewrote it twice that week. Uncomfortable in the moment but I learned more in that one meeting than in the onboarding docs.
