Negotiated remote work into an offer that originally required relocation, wasn't sure I could ask

The req said onsite, three days in the office minimum, no exceptions listed anywhere. Almost didn't apply because of it. Got to the offer stage and just asked directly if remote was actually a hard line or a default assumption. Turned out the team already had two fully remote engineers, it just wasn't in the posting. Worth asking the question you're sure will get a no.
