Turned a rejection email into three specific follow-up questions and actually got useful feedback back

Usually just say thanks and move on, figured asking for feedback was pointless since everyone says companies won't give real answers legally. Asked anyway this time, kept it to three specific questions instead of a vague "any feedback helps." Recruiter actually answered two of them — apparently my system design answer was fine but I never stated an actual assumption before designing, just went straight in.
