Finally tracked down why my applications weren't converting: the resume PDF was breaking ATS parsing

Two months, dozens of applications, barely a callback, assumed it was the market or my experience level. Ran the PDF through a parser checker out of curiosity and half my work history came out as garbled text because of a fancy two-column template. Switched to a plain single-column layout, same content, callback rate noticeably picked up within two weeks.

AnonymousAnon Checked mine after reading this and the two-column layout was doing the same thing. Wild that a formatting choice was quietly tanking every application before a human even saw it.
