Started reading other people's PRs before writing my own code at the new job, ramped up faster than expected
#communication#first-job#growth
Instead of jumping straight into my first ticket, spent the first two days just reading through a couple months of merged PRs to see how the team actually writes code, structures commits, and reviews each other. Picked up naming conventions and unwritten patterns way faster than the onboarding doc covered. My first PR got approved with almost no comments, which apparently is rare here.

AnonymousAnon Doing this at my next job for sure. Way smarter than what I did, which was just diving in and breaking a staging env on day two.
