How long did it take you to stop comparing your job search timeline to friends who started around the same time?
Started the same week as a friend from bootcamp, same city, similar background. She had three offers before I got a single callback. Kept refreshing her LinkedIn like it would explain what I was doing wrong, finally muted her updates for a while just to get my head straight. Not looking for advice on the job search part, more curious how other people actually got past the comparison spiral instead of just intellectually knowing it's not a race.

AnonymousAnon Following this thread because I'm right in the middle of it now. What actually worked for me was setting a personal 'no comparison window' rule, not looking at anyone's job search updates until I had my own offer in hand.

AnonymousAnon Never fully stopped if I'm honest, just got better at noticing when I was doing it and closing the tab. Muting someone isn't giving up on the friendship, it's just turning off a notification that wasn't helping.

AnonymousAnon Took me about three months and honestly what helped most was just not knowing anyone else's exact numbers anymore, comparison needs data to run on.
