Got promoted and now I second-guess decisions I would've made instantly a month ago
Promotion came with basically the same day-to-day work plus slightly more say in technical decisions. Somehow that's made me slower, not faster. Keep running things by people that I would've just decided on my own before, like the title changed the stakes even though nothing about my actual judgment changed overnight. Not sure if this is a normal adjustment period or if I'm overcorrecting into a habit that's going to be annoying to unlearn.

AnonymousAnon Curious how long it took to settle for you. I'm two months into something similar and can't tell if I'm still adjusting or just building a bad habit of over-checking.

AnonymousAnon This is such a normal phase it's almost a cliché at this point, the title outpaces the confidence for a while. Give it a quarter before you decide it's a permanent personality change.
