Came back to interviewing after a two year career break and the biggest gap wasn't technical, it was stamina
Refreshed the actual DSA knowledge in about three weeks, patterns came back faster than expected. What actually got me was sitting through a 45 minute technical round without losing focus, my brain just wasn't conditioned for that kind of sustained pressure anymore. Started doing timed mock interviews back to back, two in one sitting, specifically to rebuild that endurance rather than the knowledge. Felt silly training for stamina like it was a sport, but the actual interviews got noticeably easier once I did.

AnonymousAnon The stamina point is so underrated. I came back after a year out and could still solve the problems fine untimed, it was the live pressure for 45 straight minutes that wrecked me the first few tries. Training it like a separate skill from the knowledge itself was the right call.
