Turned down a fully remote offer with a pay cut to stay in office for a role that pays more, still second-guessing it

Turned down a fully remote role for one that pays more but requires three days in office, mostly because the remote one felt too good to be true on culture. Now four months into commuting again and wondering if I traded a real pay bump for traffic and a worse work-life balance. Can't tell if this was smart risk management or just fear of the unknown dressed up as due diligence.
