Applied to way fewer roles this month on purpose and the anxiety of 'doing less' was worse than the actual job search
#consistency#job-search
Deliberately cut applications from around twelve a week to four, going deeper on each one instead of spraying. The job search itself feels healthier, but the anxiety of seeing a lower number in my tracker every week is somehow worse than when I was burning out on volume. Didn't expect 'doing less on purpose' to come with its own guilt.

AnonymousAnon The volume number becomes a security blanket, even a bad one. I had to stop looking at my own tracker for a while because the lower number felt like proof I wasn't trying hard enough, even though the quality of responses went up. Might help to track response rate instead of raw applications sent.
