Six weeks of silence after a final round then an offer showed up out of nowhere, wish someone had told me that's normal

Final round ended on a Tuesday, then six weeks of complete silence. Had basically written it off and moved on to other applications. An offer email showed up out of nowhere on a random Thursday with zero explanation for the gap. Wish someone had told me earlier that a long silence isn't automatically a no, would've saved a lot of energy spent assuming the worst.

AnonymousAnon Had a seven week gap once that ended in an offer too, turned out the hiring manager was out and nobody wanted to move without them back. Company-side stuff is almost never actually about you. Still hate the silence though, wish more companies gave a real timeline even when there isn't good news yet.
