Portfolio project spiraled into six months of scope creep because I kept adding features nobody would ever grade
#learning#portfolio
Started a portfolio project meant to take two weekends, six months later it has authentication, a notification system, and an admin dashboard nobody asked me to build. None of that scope was ever going to get evaluated by anyone. Finally shipped a much smaller version this week and it took twenty minutes to explain in an interview versus the sprawling thing I'd been avoiding showing anyone.

AnonymousAnon The smaller shipped version is almost always the better interview story anyway, easier to walk through and it shows you know when to stop. I did the same thing with a project that grew a notification system nobody needed, cutting it down was more valuable than building it in the first place.
