Practiced on a whiteboard for a week straight and then the actual interview was a live shared editor, completely threw me
#interview-prep#technical-interview
Every prep resource I found assumed a whiteboard or a blank google doc, so I drilled that for a week straight. The real interview was VS Code in a shared browser tab with actual syntax highlighting and autocomplete half-working, and somehow that made it harder, not easier. Kept reaching for muscle memory that wasn't there. Next time I'm asking the recruiter what the actual environment looks like instead of assuming.

AnonymousAnon Nobody warns you about the shared editor part. Autocomplete half-working is somehow worse than no autocomplete at all.
