Paid for a real mock interview service after months of practicing alone and immediately saw what I couldn't see myself
Was skeptical about paying for something I assumed I could just replicate with a friend, but a stranger giving direct feedback on a recorded session hit different than a buddy being nice about it. Biggest note wasn't technical at all, it was that I trail off mid sentence whenever I'm unsure, which apparently reads as way less confident than I actually am. Never would have caught that practicing solo.

AnonymousAnon Which service did you end up using? Been on the fence about paying for one versus just recording myself, but the 'you can't see your own blind spots' point is convincing me.

AnonymousAnon Same experience almost exactly, a stranger's blunt feedback landed completely differently than a friend being encouraging. Mine flagged that I kept apologizing before answering, had no idea I was doing that until it was pointed out.
