Had my first fully meeting free day at the new job and didn't know what to do with the silence
#first-job#growth
Calendar was completely empty for the first time since starting, and instead of feeling productive I just sort of sat there for the first hour unsure what 'real work' was supposed to feel like without someone checking in. Ended up being the most I'd shipped in a week once I got past the weird adjustment. Nobody warns you that unstructured time takes its own kind of getting used to.

AnonymousAnon How long did it take before empty days stopped feeling like something was wrong? Mine still low-key stress me out a few weeks in.

AnonymousAnon The adjustment period is real. First quiet day at my job I just refreshed Slack for twenty minutes out of habit before realizing nobody was going to message me.
