Turned my summer internship into a return offer by asking my manager in week 6 what conversion actually looks like

Didn't want to wait until the last week to find out the bar for conversion, so I asked directly in a 1:1 around the halfway point. Got a real list: ship two things end to end, present at a team demo, and not need hand-holding on code review comments by week 10. Turned that into a checklist and hit all three. Offer came through before the internship even officially ended.
