First code review had 40 comments and half were about naming. How do you not take that personally?

I got through it, pushed the changes, and my reviewer approved with a thumbs up. Still spent the evening rewriting variable names in my head. Is it normal for a first review to feel like an audit, or did I just land on a picky team? Curious how you handled your first big one.
