Took a 30% pay cut to switch careers. The budget that kept us afloat for a year

Rent was the big one, so we moved to a smaller place in February. Dropped the streaming services, cut the car insurance to basic cover, and set a fixed grocery number we don't go over. What I didn't expect was how much less guilt there was once the numbers were written down. Happy to describe the spreadsheet layout if it helps anyone.
