Started teaching a free Python class at my local library. It's the reason my own skills stuck

Twelve people, Thursday evenings, a whiteboard, and a projector that's always two minutes behind. Every time someone asks why a loop works, I have to actually understand it. Two of them have since landed junior ops jobs, and one emailed me a screenshot of her first pull request. The thing I'd tell past me: explaining it is the study plan.
