Two offers, an 18k gap, and I took the lower one for the team

The higher number was a team where I'd ramp up alone. The lower one had a senior engineer who spent two hours with me on day one. I think I underrated how much a good first six months pays back in skill. Not saying it's right for everyone. Anyone else trade cash for a better learning curve?

The team and the scope usually matter more than the 18k over the first two years. Did the lower offer have a clear promo path? That's the thing I'd push on.
