'What did the last person get wrong?' I got it from a hiring manager who said it's a good way to find where a team is fragile. The answers were sharp: 'We over-engineered the queue.' 'Nobody writes tests for the import script.' The tone shifts too. The interviewer relaxes and starts being honest. Not for every panel, but worth trying in a second round.
