Backend to ML: my first 'real' project was a boring classifier

I expected to start with transformers. The first real task was a logistic regression on support tickets. The hard part turned out to be cleaning the labels and making the evaluation honest. I'm not doing research ML yet, but the team trusts me to ship a model that doesn't quietly break. If you're making the same move, get comfortable with the data pipeline before you touch the fancy stuff.
