I can solve most mediums on LeetCode but freeze the second the problem has no name

Two-pointer, sliding window, BFS, those I can spot. But when a problem just says 'given a list of intervals, return the minimum number of rooms' I stare at it for ten minutes before I even think about a data structure.

Is this a pattern-recognition gap, or am I doing the grind wrong? I've done about 180 problems. Curious how people got past this.
