Mock interview with a friend from a bank: the feedback I actually used

Most mock feedback I'd gotten was 'good, maybe be more confident.' My friend, who does interviews for their team at a bank, gave me three specific things:

• I start coding before I've restated the problem
• I say 'um' before every hint
• I never ask about input size until the end

Fixed those three and my next practice felt like a different person answering. Cheap signal: find someone who has actually sat on the other side of the table.
