Embedded C for six years. Does that count for web dev or does it read as irrelevant?

I'm trying to move into web backend. I don't want to hide my background, but my resume is all firmware and I'm not sure how to frame it. Some recruiters seem to just skip me.

Has anyone done a similar switch from low-level work? How did you explain it in the first screen?
