Do I need to actually understand Kubernetes, or just list it on my resume?

Most backend postings I've looked at this month list k8s somewhere in the nice-to-haves. I've used Docker for a couple of side projects but never touched a real cluster. I don't want to claim something I can't talk about for ten minutes. What's the honest minimum for a junior role?
