Live coding tip: write a tiny input and its expected output before the loop
Anonymous
When I froze on a medium, the real problem was usually that I hadn't checked my understanding of the input. Picking a small example like [3, 1, 2] and saying out loud what the output should be gives the interviewer something to correct early. It hasn't made me faster yet, but I've stopped writing code that solves the wrong problem.
