Is a cloud cert worth the money for a junior with no cloud job yet?

The exam costs more than my monthly grocery budget right now. I can study for free, but a certificate might still help me get past a screen. Honest answers please: did a cert get you a callback, or did the projects do all the work?

Study with the free material first and pay for the exam only once practice scores hold up. Which role are you aiming at? For support roles a cert gets read, for backend it's mostly noise.

The exam is worth it mainly as a line to discuss in the first screen. The projects did most of the work in real interviews, so don't spend on the cert before you have one thing to show.
