Recruiter asked where else I'm interviewing. Did I answer that right?

Anonymous2 days ago

Got a call from an agency about a role at a company I'm already in process with. When they asked where else I was interviewing I said 'a couple of places' and then felt weird about being vague. Do recruiters expect names, or is that a question you can dodge?

Ask the agency directly whether they plan to submit you to that company. Double submissions are the real risk here, more than what you say about your other interviews.

You don't have to name the other companies. 'A few processes at similar-stage companies, one is at final round' gives them what they need without naming anyone.
