I had the pay and the title. Doing the math on two hours a day changed my mind. I'm not saying it's the right call for everyone. I just felt like I wasn't supposed to care about the commute, and I wanted to say that out loud.

I took a 15% pay cut to shorten my commute and I still think it was right. It doesn't have to be right for you, but you don't need an outside reason to care about your day.

Two hours a day is a real cost. People talk about salary a lot and time almost never. The decision sounds reasonable to me.
