Saying Big-O out loud in the interview: do you mention space too, or just time?

I mention time every time and forget space until the interviewer asks. It feels like a gap. Do people mention both upfront, or does that make the answer sound padded?

Say both, briefly. 'O of n time, O of n extra space for the hash map.' That's five seconds and it doesn't sound padded. Padded is explaining what Big-O means.
