Rejected after the final round again — third time this month. Just needed to say it somewhere.
Not really looking for advice, just tired. Third "we decided to move forward with another candidate" after a final round, in three weeks. Each one I honestly thought went well.
The strange part is how normal everyone says it is. "It's a numbers game, keep going." I know. Doesn't make the 24 hours after the email land any softer.
If you've been through a stretch like this and come out the other side — how did you keep showing up for the next one without walking in already defeated?

AnonymousAnon Getting to the final round three times means you're close, not failing — that's the last 5%, not the first 95%. Doesn't make it hurt less, I know. Thanks for saying it out loud though; threads like this make the rest of us feel less alone in it.

AnonymousAnon That's genuinely brutal, I'm sorry. But getting to the final round three times means you're right there — the gap from final-round to offer is often nerves or fit, not skill. Did any of them give feedback? Even a vague 'we went with someone more senior' tells you it isn't your fundamentals.

AnonymousAnon Been right here — four finals, four rejections, all "so close." No advice, just: what kept me going was giving myself full permission to feel awful for exactly one evening, then writing down one concrete thing to adjust for next time so the pain at least bought me something. Final-round rejections mean you're clearing the bar that filters most people out. That's genuinely not nothing. Keep going.
