Escaped tutorial hell by building something genuinely ugly
I must've 'completed' a dozen courses and still couldn't build anything from a blank file. What finally broke it: I forced myself to build a habit tracker with zero tutorials open. It's held together with tape and the CSS is a war crime, but I understand every single line, and that changed everything. Stop starting course #13. Build the bad version.
