Remote junior dev — I quietly worry I'm learning way slower than I would in an office
First job is fully remote and I'm grateful for it, but I wonder if I'm missing all the osmosis stuff — overhearing seniors debug, quick 'hey how does this work' questions. I can go a whole day barely talking to anyone, and when I do ping someone I feel like I'm interrupting.
For folks who started remote: did you feel behind? What actually helped you learn faster and feel less isolated?

AnonymousAnon The slower-learning worry is real remotely, but it's fixable — you have to manufacture the "tap someone on the shoulder" moments an office gives you for free. I set up a standing 30-min weekly pairing slot with a senior and started over-asking in a team channel. Also, hop on a quick call instead of typing when you're stuck for more than a bit; 10 minutes of screen-share beats an hour of async back-and-forth.

Two things helped: I over-asked in public channels instead of DMs (others learn from the answer, and it feels less like interrupting one specific person), and I asked my lead for a standing 30-min weekly pairing session.
