Started a 'brag doc' three months ago and my 1:1s are completely different now
Simple idea I stole from a blog: every Friday I jot down what I shipped, what I unblocked for someone, any bug I chased down. Two lines, that's it.
Come review time I wasn't scrambling to remember what I did back in March. My manager also stopped having to guess at my impact because I just... had the list. If you're junior and quietly doing good work nobody sees, start one today. It's five minutes a week and it pays for itself the first time someone asks what you've been up to.

AnonymousAnon Brag doc changed my 1:1s and my reviews both. We forget 90% of what we shipped by the time review season comes around, and a running log means you argue from specifics instead of vibes. I add a line every Friday, takes two minutes. Best low-effort career habit I've got.

AnonymousAnon Did the same and the sneaky benefit was my resume later — a year of Friday notes basically wrote my bullet points for me. One tweak: I also log the things that went sideways and what I learned, so it's not a pure highlight reel when a manager reads over my shoulder.
