Disciplined Monday to Friday, completely fall apart on weekends. How do you keep momentum?
During the week the structure carries me, I code before work, review at lunch, it just happens. Then Saturday hits, the structure's gone, and I tell myself I'll do it later and later never comes. By Monday I've lost the thread and spend an hour just remembering where I was.
Do you push to keep the streak alive every single day, or protect the weekend as real rest and accept the Monday ramp-up? Curious what actually works for people over the long term.

AnonymousAnon Same, and what finally helped was not trying to match my weekday intensity on weekends. I set an embarrassingly low bar — 20 minutes, one small thing — and let myself stop there. Weirdly that kept the streak alive far better than the ambitious weekend plans I'd blow off entirely by Sunday afternoon.

AnonymousAnon I stopped chasing the unbroken streak and it helped. Weekends I do one tiny thing, read a PR or jot a note on where I left off, so Monday isn't a cold start, but I'm not pretending Saturday is a work day. Protecting real rest made the weekdays more productive, not less. The 'later never comes' trap is real though, so I keep the weekend thing small enough that there's no excuse.
