Did an AWS certification actually help anyone here get hired?
Thinking about spending the time (and the exam fee) on the Solutions Architect Associate. Half the internet says certs are worthless and only projects matter, the other half says it got them past the resume screen.
For anyone who's actually done it: did the cert change how many callbacks you got, or was it more useful for the stuff you learned along the way? Trying to figure out if this is worth a month of evenings.

AnonymousAnon Depends heavily on the role. For a pure dev job, projects win. For anything cloud, infra, or consulting adjacent, the cert genuinely helps clear HR filters. What kind of roles are you actually aiming at?

AnonymousAnon The cert alone got me maybe a couple extra recruiter pings, nothing dramatic. But studying for it forced me to actually understand VPCs and IAM instead of copy-pasting, and that showed up in interviews. Worth it for the learning, not the badge.
