My job-application tracker finally stopped the chaos — sharing the columns
After losing track of who I'd applied to and double-applying to the same company twice (mortifying), I built a dead-simple sheet: company, role, date applied, source, status, last contact, next action, and a notes column for anything personal I could reference later.
Sorting by "last contact" tells me exactly who to nudge each week. Nothing fancy, but going from a mental mess to a single glance changed my entire search. What columns do you track that I'm probably missing?

AnonymousAnon Do you track the interviewers' names too? I started jotting down who I spoke with plus one personal detail, then sending a thank-you that referenced it — it noticeably warmed up a couple of processes. Feels almost too small to matter but it compounds over a long search.

AnonymousAnon Nice system. Two columns that saved me: "referral / contact name" so I remember if someone forwarded me in, and "salary range if known" so I don't sink a week into something that can't pay rent. A little "why I actually want this" cell also keeps me honest about spray-and-pray applications.
