Has a recruiter ever found you through LinkedIn, or is the profile just there for when someone checks?
I have a profile. It's fine. Photo, headline, the two jobs I've had. I don't post and I don't plan to.
What I can't tell is whether the thing has any inbound value at this level, or whether its only job is to not look abandoned when a hiring manager opens it after reading my application.
Has anyone here had a recruiter turn up in their inbox with something worth taking? Curious what your profile looked like when it happened.

AnonymousAnon Mine gets checked far more than it gets found. Had an interviewer open it mid-call to ask about a gap between two roles. So even the "just don't look abandoned" version is doing a job, it's just a defensive one.

AnonymousAnon Two interviews in three years came from recruiters finding me, and both times it was because my headline listed the actual stack in plain words rather than something clever. As far as I can tell that's the entire optimisation.
