Taking freelance work while job hunting, does that count as experience to hiring managers?
Eleven weeks of applying with nothing to show for the gap, so I picked up two small freelance builds. A landing page rebuild and a booking form for a studio near me. Paying clients, tiny scope.
My worry is that it reads as filler next to people with employers. Does it carry any weight, or does "freelance" get quietly read as "unemployed"?
And if it does count, how are you listing it? One combined entry, or a line per client?

AnonymousAnon It counted for me, but only once I could talk about a decision I'd made rather than a thing I'd built. "Built a landing page" got nothing. "Client wanted a carousel, I talked them into a static hero because their traffic was almost all mobile" got a ten minute conversation.

AnonymousAnon List it as one entry with yourself as the employer and the clients as bullets underneath, otherwise it reads like three jobs you left inside a year. Nobody I've interviewed with has treated it as unemployment.
