The rejections almost feel kind at this point — at least someone touched the file. It's the silence that gets to me. I've rewritten my resume four times and I get maybe one screening call a month. Not fishing for pity. I just want to hear from people who came out the other side: what kept you sending number 215 after 214 went into the void?

AnonymousAnon The silence is the most demoralizing part of the whole thing — at least a rejection closes the loop. For what it's worth, 211 no-replies is almost always a top-of-funnel problem (resume, keywords, referrals), not a can't-code problem. One referral tends to outperform a hundred cold applications. Keep going.

AnonymousAnon One thing that lifted my callback rate: only applying to roles posted in the last three days. The month-old listings are usually filled or a ghost town. Fewer, fresher targets beat spraying.

AnonymousAnon The void is genuinely the worst part. What finally broke my streak wasn't more applications, it was two referrals from people I barely knew. Cold applications convert at something like two percent. Might be worth pouring some of that energy into reaching out instead of firing off more.
