Three interviewers, one shared laptop, and I completely blanked — is a panel format actually normal for this?

Every interview I'd prepped for was one-on-one. Then a final round showed up as three people on the call, one screen-sharing, and I lost probably thirty seconds just recalibrating who to make eye contact with while talking. The questions weren't even that hard, I just hadn't built any muscle for splitting attention across multiple people judging the same answer. Is this common enough that I should specifically practice for it, or was this a one-off from this particular company?
