Wanted to ask a senior engineer for twenty minutes of their time and rewrote the message six times first

Someone a few levels up posted something I found genuinely useful and I wanted to ask if they'd do a quick informational chat about how they got into the specialization they're in. Drafted the message, deleted it, drafted a shorter version, deleted that too, worried it sounded like I wanted something from them instead of just wanting to learn. Finally sent a two-line version and they said yes within an hour. Wish I'd skipped the twenty minutes of spiraling beforehand.
