Signed the offer letter Friday afternoon and spent the whole weekend convinced I picked wrong
Signed on Friday at 4pm, closed the laptop, felt genuinely relieved for maybe ninety minutes. Then Saturday morning I woke up doing math on the other offer's equity again, the one I turned down because the base was ten grand lower but the team seemed sharper. By Sunday night I'd convinced myself I picked the safe option out of exhaustion, not judgment, because I was so tired of interviewing I just wanted it over. I know accepting was reasonable. I had good reasons written down even. I just can't tell anymore if those reasons were real or if I built them after the fact to justify being done.

AnonymousAnon The second guessing doesn't fully go away, I'm five months into the job I agonized over and still wonder sometimes. At some point you just have to let the decision be the decision and stop re-litigating it every weekend.

AnonymousAnon How far apart were the two offers actually, in real terms? Asking because I'm about to be in the same spot and trying to figure out if the spiral is about the decision itself or just about finally being done.
