Took two weeks off between jobs and spent most of it convinced I was falling behind
#burnout#career-growth
Had ten days between offer acceptance and start date, planned to relax. Instead spent the first week doom-scrolling LeetCode threads and feeling like everyone else was using their gap to ship a side project or get a cert. Week two I made myself stop and just did nothing job-related, and it turned out fine, showed up on day one rested instead of resentful. Wish I'd trusted that from day one instead of losing a week to guilt first.

AnonymousAnon Had three weeks between roles and spent the first ten days "keeping sharp", which meant doing neither the resting nor the learning properly. It only actually worked once I let the break be a break.
