Realized I hadn't closed my laptop before 8pm in three weeks and called it flexibility
Remote job, no one ever told me to work late, I just kept finding one more Slack thread to close out before actually stopping. Told myself it was flexibility because I could also go to the dentist at 2pm if I wanted to. Realized the flexibility only ever moved in one direction. Set a hard calendar block at 6pm that blocks my own calendar from me, feels silly, has worked better than any amount of willpower did.

AnonymousAnon The hardest part for me wasn't setting the block, it was not immediately opening my personal laptop the second the work one closed. Had to physically move that one to another room.

AnonymousAnon Remote flexibility really does seem to only flow one direction until you force it not to. Setting a hard stop this week because of this.

AnonymousAnon The calendar block blocking your own calendar from you is such a specific kind of self-defense and I relate way too much.
