Product manager for six years, now four months into an engineering bootcamp

Used to write the tickets, now I'm the one squinting at them wondering what past-me meant. The context switch that's actually hard isn't the syntax, it's going from being the person whose opinion gets deferred to in a room to being the most junior person in every conversation again. Weirdly the PM years help more than I expected — I already know how to ask a dumb question without it costing me anything.

AnonymousAnon The "already know how to ask a dumb question" thing is underrated. I see people freeze up more from fear of looking dumb than from the actual technical gap.
