Realized I do better in shared-doc coding interviews than on an actual whiteboard

Always assumed the interview format didn't matter much, then bombed a whiteboard round and aced a shared-doc one the following week with a harder problem. Turns out not having to also manage handwriting and spacing frees up meaningfully more working memory for the actual logic. Started asking recruiters about format before scheduling anything now, and it's a completely fair question to ask.
