Took a full two weeks off from applying anywhere and my interview performance improved after
#burnout#interview-prep#job-search
Was sending applications every single day for six weeks straight and every call started blurring into the last one, same answers on autopilot. Forced myself to stop completely, no job boards, no LinkedIn scrolling. First interview back I actually listened to the question instead of pattern matching to a rehearsed answer. Not saying stop for six weeks, just that the daily grind was making me worse at the actual conversations.

AnonymousAnon Curious how you handled the guilt of not applying during the break, that's the part I always struggle with.

AnonymousAnon The autopilot thing is real, I didn't notice I was doing it until I stopped for a week and heard myself give a fresh answer for once.
